| 2008-08-02, 19:39 ... New version is coming! | |
To everybody concerned - we can now tell you that we are at an advanced stage of our work on a new version of our webpage that we have been putting off for a very, very long time. The changes are going to be revolutionary, taking into account what we have now. The most important changes include our database which has been totally reprogrammed. We got rid of a few things, while some have also been added or are going to be added soon. I hope the system will work much faster now.
Another change that contributed to the over one-year delay was the fact that we wanted to use a framework thanks to which further development will not be so inconvenient and will not put you off.
We have also changed the way in which applications are going to communicate with the server. Essentially, we have used one of the currently applied standards for exchanging information on the Internet - xml-rpc. As far as user interface is concerned, we have used / are going to use a bit of DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX and SVG.
| 2007-06-17, 22:04 ... Full beta application for BSD | |
For some time I have been trying to write an application that will read and send data under BSD OS family. Unfortunately my knowledge about BSD OS is very limited and that is why I can not write proper application. Another issue comes with differences between FreeBSD and OpenBSD which require two different application. That is why I choose to use Linux process file system in my application. Thanks to that one application will work on Linux OS as well as on BSD OS.
If You do not have in your OS Linux process file system than You must use this command:
mount -t linprocfs linprocfs /proc/ and after that download one of attached application and check if it is working correctly. On my test computer it looks like that: Paszczak FreeBSD.
We are waiting for yours pro and con comments for that solution. Alongside with that application I will try to write version that will not use /proc. Any suggestion please post on out biuletin board.

Toplist was sorted by refreshed. Now it is possible to view Top users in different categories. Also site statistics were temporally suspended for minor adjustment, but they be back shortly.
We also have made accessible special contact form to submit any ideas, problems and ordinary messages. Before sending message we suggest to read help and bulletin board.
